Game Buddha is a talk I gave at Ignite Philly. At the time I was practicing a tibetan buddhist style of lucid dreaming. I argue that if we think of video games as a kind of dream state then it might be possible to engage in spiritual practices similar to those used around lucid dreaming.
So what if we started thinking of video games, not as entertainment or software, but as a kind of dreaming, a consensual dream, a technologically induced altered state. How then would we use a video game to catalyze personal growth?
