The Digital Diptych was my first portfolio site, and my first experiment with a dynamic database driven website. When I created the site, I loaded it with hundreds of photographs, of me, my work, and stuff I liked. When the site loads, two of these images are shown at random creating a diptych. Visitors are invited to give the random combinations creative titles. Named diptychs then appear in kind of gallery for future visitors to browse. At this point, hundreds of diptychs have been named - often with titles far more creative than what I might have come up with. I’ve also made use of the database this site populated in a later portfolio site, the Egoplex
